Amsterdam Oks Modified Snow Removal Contract

TOWN OF AMSTERDAM – Town of Amsterdam Supervisor Thomas DiMezza was given the okay by town board members to sign a new snow and ice removal contract with the county.

The town board passed a resolution during their 2019 organizational meeting Monday to give authorization to DiMezza to sign the new contract, once it was approved by the legislature.

Through the contract the municipalities would maintain county roads found within their limits, taking care of snow and ice removal. The new contract will last for two years with a 2 percent year-over-year increase, which includes annual reporting to the county’s Department of Public Works.
