BATAVIA — A Churchville business that supplies area fire companies with equipment is buying property on Perry Road in Le Roy/Pavilion and is investing $900,000 to build a truck setup facility. Now it has a little over $50,000 in incentives from the Genesee County Economic Development Center.
The GCEDC board approved the incentives Thursday afternoon following a presentation by Churchville Fire Equipment Vice President and General Manager David VerSleeg.
Churchville Fire Equipment will pay taxes on the assessed value of the property before the improvements and will get have a 10-year Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) agreement on the improvements to the property. The PILOT is not for the original construction.
