Tracy Plaza Change Order Approved
Work will continue to fix the damage caused by rain water to the city police and fire departments below Tracy Plaza.
On Monday, the Jamestown City Council approved a change order of $72,627 with Empire Development Inc. for the repairs to the two public safety departments.
Prior to the vote, Andrew Liuzzo, At-Large councilman, asked if the $72,627 being used to pay Empire Development Inc. is taxpayer money. Jeff Lehman, city public works director, said the funds to pay Empire Development Inc. for the work will be deducted from the contract agreement with Patterson-Stevens Inc., the contractor hired for the Tracy Plaza renovation work. Lehman said all the work being done by Empire Development is due to the rain water damage.
