Geneva Downtown Revitalization projects ready to roll

GENEVA — The city is moving ahead with a number of public works projects awarded money under the state’s $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative, with planning processes expected to take much of this year and construction in 2019.

But for many of the private projects getting DRI funding, it’s renovation time.

Developers ready to get started include Geneva’s Dave Linger, whose property he owns with partner Wendy Marsh at 20 E. Castle St. — the former Comedy Playhouse Bar and Restaurant — is eligible for $650,000 in DRI funds in a project expected to cost about $2 million.
