HPC can’t decide Huntington demolition permit, issues unaddressed

SENECA FALLS — The town’s Heritage Preservation Commission, facing a Friday deadline, was unable to make a decision Tuesday on whether to grant a demolition permit to Huntington Building owner Peter Koch.

Instead, the Commission voted 6-0 to issue a “positive” declaration that the demolition of the nearly 150-year-old, three-story landmark building at 201 Fall St. has environmental impacts that need to be addressed in a detailed Environmental Impact Statement.
