HUDSON — Prospective investors’ proposals for the 4.56-acre property formerly owned by Kaz and CSX will not be made public, Hudson Development Corporation President Robert Rasner said. Once the property is purchased, the public can give feedback.
The main 3.7-acre property is located at 14-18 Montgomery St., and an adjoining 0.86-acre parcel is at 72 S. Front St.
Rasner argues the negotiations should be confidential and members of the public can participate when the new owners bring their proposal to the planning board and potentially the zoning board of appeals.
“That is the perfect venue for the public to discuss how they see these opportunities,” he said. “Until then I have to respect the confidentiality of any real-estate transaction.”
