NIAGARA COUNTY: Casale, Langdon, Klyczek in line for promotions.
The Niagara County Legislature will vote next week on appointing Michael Casale as the county’s economic development commissioner. It’s a role Casale has held on an interim basis since the March 10 death of Sam Ferraro.
The legislature will vote June 19 whether to appoint Casale as the commissioner for a five-year term that’s good through March 12, 2023.
Casale’s salary this year as a deputy commissioner is $72,824. In his final year heading the Economic Development department, Ferraro earned $121,463. Ferraro also headed the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency and in 2016 was paid $58,137 in that post, according to SeeThroughNY.com.
