Farmhouse Market ribbon-cutting ceremony is Saturday
Minutes before the Sept. 25 soft opening of Farmhouse Market, located at 277 Main St., patrons were already eager to check out the new business’ selection. The grand opening is scheduled for Oct. 3 and will kick off with a 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“My husband is a career chef and he opened up his own restaurant consulting business in New York City,” said co-owner Rosemarie “Rosey” Ott. “We always played around with the idea of opening a market and slowing things down a little bit. When COVID happened it made the decision easier for us to start on that path rather than wait a few years.”
When Ott and Anthony Lanci made the decision to move from Brooklyn to the Hudson Valley, they informed longtime friends Brittany and Anthony Devito of their intention to open up a market. At first they joked about having the Devitos join them in the business venture, but the couple was eager to jump right in.
