NCIDA: Family owners seek tax break deal for renovation work at landmark Falls club.
WHEATFIELD – Multiple developers in the City of Niagara Falls moved closer to receiving long-term tax breaks from the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency on Wednesday.
The project sites include the former headquarters of a busted narcotics ring, an economy-grade hotel and a historic city landmark where barons and magnates once dined.
The NCIDA’s Board of Directors gave preliminary approval to all three Cataract City redevelopment efforts.
Among the developers are the Patel family, which includes husband and wife pair, B.F. and Pragna Patel, and their son, Nirel Patel. The Patels are preparing to invest $3 million at the historic Niagara Club, 24 Buffalo Ave., for which the family is seeking a $383,424 tax reduction over the next decade.
