Public meeting set on trail from Artpark to the Lake Ontario shore

Public input will be sought at a meeting Monday about a trail that would connect Artpark in Lewiston with Four Mile Creek State Park on the Lake Ontario shore in Porter.

The Niagara River Greenway Commission hired the Bergmann engineering firm to work on the connectivity study, due to be completed this fall. Bergmann chose ALTA Planning and Design to assist with the study.

The Greenway’s original purpose was to create a trail along the Niagara River from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. The route from Artpark to Four Mile Creek has not been chosen, State Parks spokeswoman Angela Berti said.
