Report: ‘I Love NY’ signs will be down by November

The state reached an agreement with the federal government after the Federal Highway Administration threatened to pull $14 million in federal funding if the signs were up past Sept. 30.

Documents, obtained by Gannett’s Albany Bureau, show exactly when those ‘I Love New York’ tourism signs will be coming down from local highways.

According to an agreement, the signs will be down by Nov. 17 which is after November’s election.
