HERKIMER — At least one Travis Road resident has threatened legal action against Herkimer County if it does not take another look at work it plans to do on her road and incorporate concerns from residents.
The Herkimer County Highway Department is in the process of going out to bid on a project to widen Travis Road, which travels through the towns of Danube and Stark. The plan is to build out a portion of the road with two 10-foot travel lanes and 2-foot shoulders on either side.
The highway department held two public information sessions on the project in February, one in each of the affected towns. Both towns sent the county letters in support of the project.
