$1.3M project to begin within weeks in North Hornell
NORTH HORNELL — At a public hearing on Monday, residents packed North Hornell Village Hall to express concerns and hear more details on how a major infrastructure project may impact them this spring.
The village will contract to construct all new sidewalks and curbs along Seneca Road, with construction tentatively scheduled to begin in the late spring to early summer.
The project is supported by a $1.3 million Transportation Alternatives (TAP) grant, aimed at supporting bicycle, pedestrian, multi-use path and non-motorized transportation-related projects, as well as programs and projects that reduce congestion and improve air quality.
