Sparse crowd questions OCSD leaders on $60M capital project

OSWEGO — Only six people showed up to a presentation on the Oswego City School District’s $60 million capital project Wednesday, but those people fired a series of tough questions at Superintendent Dean Goewey.

In the works for almost 10 years, the proposed capital project would see a massive overhaul of the district’s schools and other facilities. The district Board of Education has already approved the proposal, and the public vote on the project is March 6.

Goewey led an information session with a presentation on the capital improvement project, featuring pictures of all seven schools with needed facility upgrades and exterior changes.
