Upgrades at Corning Center continue

CORNING – Work is currently underway to upgrade resident rooms and activity space at the Corning Center for Care and additional upgrades are likely on the way next spring at the East First Street facility.

The Corning City Planning Commission recently approved a preliminary site plan to expand the first floor of the 205 E. First St. building.

Upgrades include increasing the size of the facility’s therapy space, reconfiguring some back offices and enlarging a conference room as well as adding needed storage space, according to Rodiney Santiago, project lead project manager.
