Vestal residents are girding for yet another battle over what they say is a massive student housing project in a wooded area off Bunn Bill Road.
Preliminary plans call for a 58-unit complex, each with two to five bedrooms to be built on a 43-acre wooded plot about a mile and a quarter south of the Vestal Parkway, and within close proximity of the Binghamton University campus.
Alarm bells went off for nearby residents when they noted drawings call for 700 parking spaces.
“This thing needs to be squashed,” said Victor Lamoureax, who lives about a quarter mile south of the proposed housing complex. “You’re talking about high density residences here.”
