ATTICA — A landslide decision regarding the proposed $17.2 million Attica Central School District Capital Project left school administrators hopeful for the future and smiling from ear to ear Tuesday evening after the project received overwhelming voter approval.
Nine-hundred-and-eleven favored the project, while 525 rejected it district-wide. Results poured in from three district polling places — Attica, Bennington, and Sheldon — beginning around 9:15 p.m.
Voters offered a resounding ‘yes’ in two of the three spaces, with the numbers breaking down to 524-235 in Attica, 207-148 in Bennington and a far narrower 136-131 in Sheldon.
