WARSAW — More than $3 million in state grant funding will help fund laboratory upgrades at the Wyoming County Community Health System. The funding was announced Thursday by Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The hospital is set to receive $3,078,048 through the New York State Health Care Facility Transformation Program.
“The current laboratory facility is one of the few areas within the hospital that has not experienced significant renovation since the initial 1950s hospital construction,” said Chief Executive Officer Donald Eichenauer. “The laboratory equipment is new but the physical facility is older and inadequate for today’s operations. The new facility will provide efficiencies as well as an upgraded work environment for the laboratory staff.”
