The developer behind a City of Poughkeepsie waterfront project two decades in the making says he plans to sign a lease that has gone unsigned for years, moving the development one step closer to becoming a reality.
Joseph Bonura Jr., announced his intentions in response to the city giving him a deadline to make progress on the multimillion-dollar Poughkeepsie Landing Project or risk losing the right to build on the land. However, he noted the realities presented by the COVID-19 pandemic would make it impossible to say when construction may begin.
