MOHAWK — Property owners along Fulmer and Marmet streets in Mohawk had the opportunity Wednesday to hear about the village’s plans to seek grant funding for a flood mitigation project along Minnowbrook Creek in that neighborhood.
In order for the project to move forward, those property owners are being asked to sign nonbinding letters of interest. Letters will be going out to residents within the next two to three weeks, according to Mayor Jim Baron.
About a dozen residents gathered in the village office to hear Michele Palmer of Templeton Landscape Architects explain what might be done to alleviate flooding and erosion problems and the grant application process.
