“Thanks for the memories,” the sign along Route 9 in Poughkeepsie reads.
The sign is posted outside the Poughkeepsie Inn, a property that has stood for more than 80 years just south of the city’s southern border, predating much of the region’s development.
But, the memories for the better part of this century have not always been positive.
